Amy Burka is a lifelong artist and craftsperson from Greenville, South Carolina. Inspired by generations of painters, makers, writers, woodworkers, and sewists in her family, Amy seeks to keep the art of doing-it-herself alive for future generations by engaging in both constant learning and teaching the fundamentals of craft. After a detour through several professional careers, Amy returned to her passions in 2023, replacing the laptop on her desk with a sewing machine. Amy is assisted in her home studio by several dogs.
