Loblolly Press is an independent publisher based in Asheville, North Carolina. We publish contemporary poetry and prose rooted in the American South, with an editorial focus shaped by place, lived experience, and long-term care for the work. Our list reflects how people live here now, not how the region is often remembered or marketed.


Applicants' Bios:
Andrew Mack, Founder & Managing Editor
Andrew Mack is the Founder and Managing Editor of Loblolly Press. He oversees editorial direction, acquisitions, and author partnerships across the catalog. His work at the press is grounded in a commitment to sustained editorial care, transparency, and building space for writers whose work is often sidelined elsewhere. Andrew is the author of three poetry collections, Weekend Revival and What the River Was, and Beasts of Chase. and lives in Asheville, North Carolina.

Kristin Entler, Poetry Editor
Kristin Entler is a writer and educator from Alabama, currently living in Western North Carolina. They hold an MFA in poetry from the University of Arkansas and an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Their work can be found in The Bitter Southerner,Gulf Stream Literary Magazine, Porter House Review, BOOTH, and elsewhere. Entler can be found online @findmycure.
